About Tom Hawkes

Tom Hawkes is our amazing real estate copywriter with extensive real estate knowledge and a true passion for Melbourne architecture. Tom began his real estate copywriting journey with Real Copy Right at the beginning of 2022 and has grown leaps and bounds in the business. He has inspected and subsequently written the copy for well over 1500 properties across Melbourne, building his knowledge of Melbourne’s history, architectural styles, levels of quality, local neighbourhoods and concise writing.

Tom has writing and reporting in his heart. In his primary school years, Tom would write sports reports after games and detail all the key statistics. As his love for writing grew, Tom would follow his VCE studies with the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism (Media & Communication) at La Trobe University.

Tom discovered his interest in property surveying Melbourne’s auction scene, it then grew with his move into the City of Boroondara and went to new heights with his widespread work with Real Copy Right. To show his affinity for architecture in Melbourne to the world, Tom has released a series of blogs underpinning ‘Melbourne’s Most Magnificent Streetscapes’ on the Real Copy Right blog platform. To further his expertise, Tom has completed his Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice – Victoria’s Agents Representative Course.

A sports fanatic who’s always up for a chat about the weekend results, Tom can be found playing club cricket during the summertime and cheering on his beloved St Kilda Football Club in winter.
